Achievements

Bryan was elected to Hialeah City Council in 2021. Since then, Bryan has worked tirelessly on a plethora of issues for the betterment of the City of Hialeah.

The most notable of these endeavors came when members of the Hialeah 911 Department spoke out about major issues in the department including lack of staff, missed calls, and certification issues. Bryan fought relentlessly to find solutions to the 911 call center crisis to help both these first responders and the residents of Hialeah have the services they need. Bryan even had to take the unprecedented step of filing a lawsuit against the mayor of Hialeah for preventing access to various records in the City’s possession that could help alleviate the situation.

Bryan has also continuously has been the only councilmember in Hialeah to oppose continued tax raises. In both the 2023 and 2024 budget of Hialeah, residents saw record high increases in taxes. Bryan advocated for lowering the mileage rate in both years to account for rising property values but when the council decided to move forward with the tax increases, Bryan was the ONLY vote against raising taxes.

Bryan has also worked from day one to address the rising cost of water in Hialeah including authoring and sponsoring a resolution that presented a host of solutions to the ongoing water crisis including calling for a revamp of the water department and proposing the Water Assistance Relief Program.

Bryan is also the proud sponsor of the 60-day notice for rent increases, an ordinance that was later adopted by the Miami Dade County Commission, to afford renters more time when facing rising rents in a volatile market.

Bryan also sponsored the Election Protection and Integrity Ordinance to protect elections and free speech in the City of Hialeah, the official City of Hialeah internship program to allow students to intern in the city and get first hand experience on the intricacies of local government.

Bryan serves as the City of Hialeah representative in the Miami Dade League of Cities and the Florida League of Cities' Land Use & Economic Development Committee.

Bryan also continuously partners with different non-profit organizations, hosting street and waterway cleanups, and helping train high school students to help businesses reduce waste.
