HIALEAH, Fla. — The City of Hialeah is pleased to announce the grand reopening of Bucky Dent Water Park on Friday, July 31, 2026, returning the popular aquatic facility to the community after a seven-year closure.
The grand reopening will start with a press conference at 11:00 a.m. followed by an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. family-friendly activities, a food truck and a dessert truck. The first 100 attendees will receive one voucher for food and one voucher for dessert. Admission will be free, and the water park will remain open until 5:30 p.m. on opening day.
“After seven years, Bucky Dent Water Park is finally reopening, and Hialeah families will once again have a place to swim, gather and enjoy time together,” said Mayor Bryan Calvo. “Restoring this facility has been a priority because our residents deserve public spaces that are open, well maintained. This reopening is an important step in returning valued City amenities to the community.”
Admission to Bucky Dent Water Park will remain free for two weeks, from Friday, July 31, through Thursday, August 13, during the facility’s scheduled operating days.
Hours of operation:
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays: 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Bucky Dent Water Park is located at 2240 West 60th Street in Hialeah. The reopening date, location and regular operating hours are also listed on the City’s official facility page.
Residents and families are encouraged to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and help the City celebrate the return of this longstanding community destination.
